From shopping on Abbot Kinney to walking along the eclectic beaches, Venice is home to a variety of different activities and attractions, making it the perfect community for any fun-loving individual.

SHOPPING & GROCERIES
Abbot Kinney Boulevard runs through the heart of Venice and is filled with shopping and dining options. Featuring stores like Principessa, Aviator Nation, Vince, Marine Layer, and Scotch & Soda, Abbot Kinney Boulevard is perfect for all of your shopping needs. Also located on Abbot Kinney is the luxury grocery store, Erewhon. Beyond Erewhon, Venice also has many other healthy grocery store options, such as Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Ralph’s.

RESTAURANTS
Venice is home to an abundance of unique food and dining options. Many popular restaurants in Los Angeles are located on Abbot Kinney, including The Tasting Kitchen, Gjelina, The Butcher’s Daughter, Lemonade, and more.

STAYING ACTIVE
Venice is known for being the birthplace of the physical fitness boom in the 20th century, stemming from the installation of exercise equipment  in the 1930’s on one of Venice’s most famous beaches, Muscle Beach. The legacy continues on even today, as Venice is home to many workout and gym facilities. Barry’s, Platefit, Pure Barre, Box N’ Burn, and Gold’s Gym all have locations in Venice. In addition, Venice beach features a walking path along the ocean that is perfect for getting light exercise.

SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY
Venice is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Venice High School received an A score, according to Niche. Many private schools are located in or near Venice, such as Wildwood School and New Roads School.

Because Venice attracts many tourists from around the world, crime rates may appear higher than those of other neighborhoods. Many of the crimes, however, involve nonviolent theft in the form of pickpocketing in highly touristy areas.

LANDMARKS & ATTRACTIONS
One of Venice’s most popular attractions is Venice Beach. The beach is lined with shops and vendors selling unique crafts and trinkets. There are often street performers and it is just steps away from the ocean.
