Named after the iconic Disney character, Tarzana is a small community located in the San Fernando Valley, just west of Encino. 

SHOPPING & GROCERIES
Ventura Boulevard runs through the heart of Tarzana and features many clothing and retail shops like JANE, Dressed Up, Bohemi, and more. 
Tarzana also has many grocery stores like Vons, Whole Foods, Gelson’s, and Ralph’s. Tarzana also has a large Jewish community, so there are many kosher-friendly grocery options. 

RESTAURANTS
Tarzana has a wide variety of food options from different cultures. There are many middle eastern dining options, such as Tel Aviv Grill and Hummus Bar & Grill. Also located in Tarzana is one of Los Angeles’ most popular Mexican restaurants, Sol Y Luna.

Many gym memberships and workout classes are available in Tarzana. Shape It Fitness, 9Round Fitness, and LA Fitness are all located in Tarzana. 

SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY
Tarzana is located within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). According to Niche, the public schools in Tarzana are highly ranked compared to other LAUSD public schools. Many private elementary schools are also located in or near Tarzana, like Curtis School and Westland School. 

According to the Los Angeles Crime Report, Tarzana crime rates are low.

LANDMARKS & ATTRACTIONS
There are many hiking and mountain biking trails in or near Tarzana. Caballero Canyon Trail is a 5-mile trail often used by mountain bikers because of its steep path.
