Known for its sprawling views of Los Angeles, the Hollywood Hills are located right above Hollywood and West Hollywood in the Franklin Canyon Mountains.
SCHOOL DISTRICT
Hollywood Hills is a hillside neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles County and contains areas such as Laurel Canyon, Cahuenga Pass, Franklin Village, and Hollywood Heights. It contains highly ranked schools a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, such as Beverly Hills High School, Larchmont Charter School, and Hawthorne Elementary School.

According to the LA Times Neighborhood Crime Maps, Hollywood Hills is ranked 76 out of 209 for most violent crimes per 10,000 people and 12 out of 209 for most property crimes. Its property crime rate is one of the highest in LA, the majority being theft from vehicles.
SHOPPING
The Grove is a shopping mall located in Beverly Grove, a neighboring area to Hollywood Hills. It is one of the most popular shopping malls in the city and houses retail stores such as Nordstrom, Apple, Sephora and Zara. Hollywood and Highland Center is also located not too far from Hollywood Hills and houses the famous Dolby Theatre, restaurants such as California Pizza Kitchen, and stores like Sephora and Forever 21.
RESTAURANTS
Hollywood Hills is a residential and scenic neighborhood but has great dining options located in areas around it. Hollywood and West Hollywood are nearby and offer great options. Katsuya Hollywood is a great sushi spot known for its celebrity sightings and convenient location to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Catch L.A. is a popular rooftop restaurant on Melrose Ave that offers family-style food, pricey drinks, and a great photoshoot spot.
GROCERY STORES
Canyon Country Store is a retro cafe and grocery store once frequented by rock stars that sells fresh produce, coffee, and sandwiches. It is one of the few grocery stores located in the Hollywood Hills, but there are other mainstream grocery stores located in surrounding areas such as a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s in Hollywood and West Hollywood.
GYMS & ACTIVITIES
To stay active in Hollywood Hills, there are nice gyms like LA Fitness and Equinox which offer high-class equipment, personal training, and group classes. If you’re interested in group classes, there’s a SoulCycle, for those who love indoor cycling, and a Barry’s Bootcamp, for those who love running and strength training, located on Hollywood Blvd.
LANDMARKS & ATTRACTIONS
Hollywood Hills is known for its panoramic views of the city, with popular hiking trails such as Runyon Canyon and Brush Canyon Trail. Both have good views of the Hollywood Sign and have a range of trails from beginner to advanced. If you’re looking for some celebrity sightings and old-Hollywood history, the Hollywood Walk of Fame has brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Blvd and three blocks of Vine Street.
