SHOPPING & GROCERIES
The Promenade at Westlake provides a unique shopping experience, developed by the same group that designed classic LA spots like The Grove and The Commons at Calabasas. Stores like Brandy Melville, Cost Plus World Market, and Barnes & Noble offer something for everyone.
Westlake Village is lucky enough to have several different grocery stores located nearby. Stores like Gelson’s, Sprouts, Smart & Final, and Trader Joe’s are located within or just outside of Westlake Village, providing a wide variety of market options. In addition, there is a Costco market located nearby.
RESTAURANTS
The Promenade at Westlake offers several different dining and restaurant selections. Farfalla Trattoria, Marmalade Cafe, and Shake Shack are just some of the many food offerings at The Promenade. Other restaurants in the area include local favorites like Decker Kitchen, Moody Rooster, and 101 North.
STAYING ACTIVE
Westlake Village is surrounded by gorgeous walking and hiking trails. In addition to these spots, there is an abundance of luxury gyms in the area, like Total Woman Gym and Equinox, equipped with an indoor pool and spa. Workout classes like Pure Barre and Sweat Yoga are also available in the area.
SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY
Westlake Village is located within the Las Virgenes Unified School District, separate from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). On Niche’s website, Las Virgenes Unified School District received an A grade on their scale, while LAUSD received a B-. Westlake Village is also home to one of LA’s most prestigious private schools, Oaks Christian.
According to the Los Angeles Times crime map, Westlake Village’s crime rates are low, with violent crimes occurring only twice in the past six months.
LANDMARKS & ATTRACTIONS
The numerous parks in Westlake Village are perhaps the neighborhood’s best kept secret. Many of the parks have sports facilities that are open to the public, along with open grassy areas for playing and relaxing. In addition, Westlake Lake is perfect for boating and fishing.
