Just minutes away from UCLA lies the Westwood Village, with shopping, dining, and a movie theater. The Westwood Village offers a wide variety of shopping options like Brandy Melville, Urban Outfitters, and Paper Source. In addition to the Westwood Village, the Westfield Century City shopping center is a recently remodeled shopping mall with over 200 stores.
Westwood is also home to many grocery stores like Ralph’s, Bristol Farms, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe’s, Target and more.

There are dozens of restaurants located within the Century City shopping center. Eataly, Tocaya, Sweetgreen, Din Tai Fung, and more are all located in the Century City mall. In addition, there are many well-known restaurants throughout the neighborhood, like Fresh Corn Grill and 800 Degrees.

Westwood is located within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Residents of Westwood are zoned for Warner Elementary School, Emerson Community Center for middle school, and University High School, all of which are highly ranked according to Niche. Westwood is also home to many private elementary and high schools, like the UCLA Lab School, Marymount high school, and more.
