Located west of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, Calabasas is known for its beautiful and quiet gated communities and multitude of dining & entertainment options. 

SHOPPING & GROCERIES
The Calabasas Commons, one of the neighborhoods’ shopping hotspots, is home to many dining, retail, and entertainment spaces. With shops ranging from Barnes & Noble to Lululemon to Williams Sonoma, there’s something for everyone. 
In addition to shopping, a Ralph’s grocery store is also located within the Calabasas Commons. Other upscale grocery options like Erewhon, Trader Joe’s, and Bristol Farms are located in Calabasas as well, providing residents with ample healthy options. 

RESTAURANTS
The Calabasas Commons has many LA favorites when it comes to dining. With restaurants like Toscanova for Italian, Sugarfish for sushi, Juicy Ladies for vegan food or Le Pain Quotidien for a quick bite, it’s hard to go hungry in Calabasas. 

STAYING ACTIVE
With so many gyms and workout classes nearby, staying fit in Calabasas can be so easy. From SoulCycle to Pure Barre, there are many local workout options available. There is also an Equinox gym just a few minute drive away in Woodland Hills. 

SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY
Calabasas is located within the Las Virgenes Unified School District, separate from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) which scores top 2% in the state among numerous other district recognitions. On Niche’s website, Las Virgenes Unified School District received an A grade on their scale. Calabasas is also home to prestigious private schools, such as Viewpoint and MUSE. 
Crime rates in Calabasas are low, according to the Los Angeles Times crime report. Many parts of the neighborhood are patrolled by private security companies, in addition to local police. Because of the high volume of gated communities, residents are even more protected. 

LANDMARKS & ATTRACTIONS
Calabasas has many outdoor activities, like local parks and hiking. In addition, residents can enjoy the many overlooks with beautiful ocean and city views. One of the most famous overlooks in this area is the Calabasas Peak. Calabasas is home to world-class golf courses (Calabasas Golf and Country Club).
